Jay Fletcher's love of photography occurred in high school when he made a pinhole camera from a shoe box. While Jay has traded in the shoe box, he has still maintained his passion for photographing people. When asked what makes a good portrait, Jay replies,"A good eye and solid communication." Continuing to study photography while attending Georgia State University, Jay received his BBA degree. After working with several photographers, Jay decided to open his first studio in Buckhead in 1981, later moving to The Galleria Mall. In 2001 the studio relocated to Phipps Plaza.
Mr. Fletcher's accomplishments extend beyond his obvious expertise in the field of the photographic arts. From portraits and commercial photography, to limited edition golf prints in pencil and oil, Jay's work is highly acclaimed. Considered by hisphotographic peers to be an expert in the field of silver gelatin (black and white) printing, Jay is much in demand for teaching and lecturing within the professional community.
